The Bar-Mitzvah project organized in cooperation with the UJIA began its activity in 2010. Representatives from the UJIA requested students from the Yeshiva be counselors of children of Olim (new immigrants) from the Ethiopian community, teaching them in a yearly program in preparation for their Bar-Mitzvah celebration.
The project consists of many sessions of learning in the Yeshiva, explaining and understanding the Mitzvot of Zizit, Tefillin, keeping Shabbat and many more issues related to Jewish life.
Towards the end of the year, an impressive Bar-Mitzvah celebration is organized in the Jerusalem Great Synagogue and in the Kottel, in the presence of families from the UK, partners of the project, joining together for this exciting event
