MONTH BY MONTH – A REVIEW OF THE YEAR IN THE YESHIVA
Rosh Chodesh Elul 5777 – Our first year students join the Yeshiva and our fourth year students finish their army service and return to the Yeshiva.
We celebrated 15 years of the Yeshiva with a parent-student learning session and a show with Golan Azoulay.
A get-to-know-each-other field trip to the Jilabon Stream in the Golan during the first week.
Chariday – A fund-raising day for the Yeshiva. The money raised was used for the Yeshiva’s activities in the Merom Galil Regional Coucil.
Our annual Chariday fundraising event will be held, iy”h on Rosh Chodesh Heshvan 5778. All proceeds will go towards building the new dormitory complex. Watch this space for further details.
Slichot – trip to the cemetery in Zfat, including a visit to Arizal’s grave.
Rosh Hashana – two days of prayers, festive meals, singing and dancing.
Yom Kippur – the Holy of Holies and spiritual elevation.
Bein Hazmanim – After Yom Kippur we had a break and then back to routine in the Yeshiva, learning in havrutot in pairs, listening to Shiurim. Once a week we are privileged to hear a Shiur from Rabbi Elisha Wishlitzky and Rabbi Benayahu Broner.
Monday is Volunteering Day – Once a week on Mondays, our students participate in a variety of volunteer projects – Ufarazta, visiting the elderly, working with autistic children, delivering food packages.
First year students spend a long weekend in Jerusalem.
Chanuka – We went to the nearby village of Amirim and lit candles with the elderly residents. We held another parents evening and heard an uplifting and moving talk from Eliezer and Sara Rosenfelder accompanied by soul-stirring songs.

Tu B’Shvat – We had a joint Shabbat for prospective students and graduates. On Motzei Shabbat, we held a karaoke competition with Israeli songs.
Smartphones – We held a one-day symposium on the use of smartphones.
Field Trip – for the entire Yeshiva with Aryeh Herman, the legendary tour guide.
Purim – We visited the winery at Dalton. Shabbat Zachor followed immediately by Purim – days of pure joy leading to spiritual highs.
IDF – our second year students enlist to begin their army service. Golani, Parachutists and the Artillery Corps here we come.
Our first year students end the winter zman with a two day hike.

Pesach vacation begins. Our students set off home armed with a booklet of Divrei Torah for Pesach.
We invited the coming year’s new students to Tefahot for a day of group bonding activities.
Holocaust Memorial Day – we visited the Ghetto Fighter’s Museum.
Memorial Day for Fallen Soldiers – In the evening, we were addressed by a soldier who fought in the Yom Kippur war. During the day, we went to the Military Cemetery in Tzfat for the ceremony and the memorial for those hung on the gallows in pre-State days (Olei HaGardom).
Yom Ha’atzma’ut – We celebrated the evening of Israel’s Independence Day together with the residents of Tefahot with a festive Tefila, followed by a meal and quiz organized by Rav Itzik. The next day we had our traditional outing followed by a BBQ and jumping castles and volleyball for the children.
Lag Be’omer – We went to Meron to the grave of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai and the traditional BBQ organized by Rav Erez.
Yom Yerushalayim – We spent a very meaningful two days in Jerusalem, visiting the Kotel, the Kastel, dancing in the streets of Jerusalem, spending the night in Machon Meir, touring the National Library, then visiting Merkaz Harav Yeshiva with Rav Yoni to remember the terrorist attack there and finally a visit to the military cemetery in Mt. Herzl.
Shavuot – We learnt through the night in Tefahot’s synagogue and accepted the Torah.
Ufarazta – Mega event for the volunteer project with stars of the Arutz Meir children’s program.
TED Lectures – We had a competition in which each student gave a 3-5 minute talk, in TED style, about the most meaningful event for him during the year.
WHAT’S IN STORE FOR THE COMING YEAR?
As we approach the Day of Judgment we pray to God for a good and sweet New Year.
A year in which we continue to grow, to teach and study, and fulfill our mission of educating our students with love.
